The Friendship Circle exists to bring happiness and companionship to children and young adults with special needs, by celebrating their individuality, as well as bringing energy, support, and peace of mind to their families. Friendship Circle chapters in local communities create meaningful relationships and friendships between teen volunteers and children with special needs, increasing confidence, igniting dreams, and redefining worldviews for both parties.

With the upcoming 8th Yurtzeit of my brother Ezriel Simons just a week before the marathon it only feels appropriate to be running in his memory. Ezriel Z"L was small in stature but huge at heart, always ready to help those around him; NO was not in his vocabulary. From being the inspiration for people to start lighting shabbos candles to visiting holocaust survivors he was always so humble in his ways, only hearing many of these stories after his passing. Although his magnetic energy is sorely missed by friends and family alike, we can keep his legacy alive by emulating Ezriel's positive qualities and traits, whether it be someone needing an encouraging word, a smile, or a helping hand. May this merit his Neshama having an Aliya!!
