We know new things can be scary. Don’t worry! Team Friendship will be at your side every step of the way. We’ll be more overprotective than a first-time mom at preschool orientation day.
Event Info
So, the race experience looks a bit like this, but just a lot more magical in real life:
Thursday Evening: Bring All. The. Energy! Load up on dinner, hear personal stories from Friendship Circle members, go crazy, and get pumped for an incredible run!
Sunday Morning: Get in that last energy boost and some breakfast before the big run- delicious breakfast and of course, a steaming coffee to get the energy-zapping.
Sunday Day: Race day! Start your morning with some pre-race fuel and last-minute stretching before heading to the starting line with your team family. Run to the beat of Team Friendship’s DJ and stop to say hi to friends and fans and grab some swag and drinks at the famous Team Friendship cheer spot!
Race Info
Alongside 25,000 fellow NYRR United Airlines NYC Half runners, Team Friendship will conquer mile after mile of famous streets of New York City! Friends, family, and thousands of fans will line up along the 13.1 miles of roadways filled with inspiring sights and sounds to cheer you on.

START LINE
The Marathon start line is located at Prospect Park -16th St. and Prospect Park Southwest Brooklyn, NY 11215
The 13.1 mile course starts in Prospect Park and finishes in Central Park.
CHEER SQUAD
The Team Friendship Cheering Squad will be located at mile 10.5 - at the intersection of 5th Avenue and E 42nd Street. On the right of the course (outside Zara). Closest Address: 500 5th Ave, New York, NY 10110
COURSE INFO
The race will begin in Brooklyn near Prospect Park before taking runners across the East River via the Manhattan Bridge. Once in Manhattan, runners will race along the Lower East Side, up to Midtown, and through Times Square before finishing in Central Park
FINISH LINE
The finish line is located at Central Park West Drive just north of Tavern on the Green
MEDICAL
A medical unit will be located at the start line for your safety. Please look for medical personnel in red T-shirts if you need assistance. Water/Gatorade stations will be located throughout the run.
WEATHER
The time period for the marathon is generally a cold time of year and mornings tend to be chillier. We recommend that you plan and prepare accordingly.
