A double mastectomy, chemo, endless hospital stays. Most of us don’t know how to react when someone is going through the unimaginable but our Friendship Circle virtual community knew.
When they found out their friend was sick they cried with her. They told her “we’re going to save you the projects we do, visit you on zoom and keep you company in the hospital.”
When Libby came back last week everyone was freaking out & excited.
Hearing about their love and genuine friendship is one of the reasons I decided to Hike Kilimanjaro with Team Friendship to spread awareness for the special needs community and raise funds for their programs.
I want to hike so that more people know Friendship Circle is here and available and they can access an inclusive community wherever they are. Because friendship shouldn't be a luxury for people with special needs.
Over the next few months, I'll be training, hiking, and sweating for Friendship, but my efforts can't truly change the lives of children with special needs without your help. It is generous people like yourself who will enable me to truly benefit the Friendship Circle.
Please consider donating to the Friendship Circle in honor of my hike to the tallest summit in Africa.
